We are a team of dedicated people who are working hard to protect the unique biodiversity of the Tie-Shan mountains. We are actively engaged in the process of creating a safe space for endangered species and helping to ensure their survival. Without proper dedication, these species would be at risk of extinction.

Where it all began
The nature reserve was officially opened in 2019 with the help of CAMP Alatoo Public Foundation and Sigrid Rausing Trust. The organizations collaborated with the local villagers of the Ton district to create a plan in order to protect the natural environment of the area. Since then Baiboosun Nature Reserve and CAMP Alatoo have worked closely with the local community to ensure that the reserve was developed in a way that would benefit everyone.

Baiboosun was the first public reserve in Kyrgyzstan which is run by the local community. Since then, many reserves alike have been established in the country following this model.
In the last years Baiboosun Nature Reserve has become a popular destination for nature lovers, and the reserve has been credited with helping to protect and preserve the local ecosystem. Thanks to the hard work of the team members and our partner organizations, the nature reserve is now an important part of the local environment.
CAMP Alatoo Public Foundation (Kyrgyzstan) is an NGO that works closely with local communities in Kyrgyzstan and in other countries in the region. It was established in 2014 as a successor to the Central Asian Mountain Partnership Programme.
